Shared Energy for my hometown

In southern Styria, Anna saw her parents’ solar panels producing more power than needed. She realized that sharing energy locally could strengthen both sustainability and community.

I live in Graz now, but my heart still belongs to my hometown. My parents have solar panels on their roof, and they often produce more electricity than they need. I started wondering what could happen if that extra energy stayed in the community instead of just flowing into the grid.

Talking to a few neighbors made me realize how much potential there is when people start thinking together. It’s not just about saving energy. It’s about connection, responsibility, and reimagining how we share resources. Even small ideas can grow into something meaningful when they’re rooted in community.
